Big or small, these pains are messengers. They tell us something is going on inside and we may want to check in. It is a mindfulness practice. The buddha taught about it in Satipatthana Sutta- Part II- The Contemplation of Feeling. We must be aware of what we feel and when we feel it. Being sensitive to the early messages allows us to prevent the stack from starting. Because if we aren't , soon enough the feeling we have will lead to our action without permission. Instead of being in charge, we can only be the victim...
